Grilled watermelon salad with balsamic vinegar
At home in the summer, we accompany almost all our meals with a salad. It's fresh, it's fast and full of beautiful colors and vitamins. But sometimes we get tired of the green salad. So I thought about using beautiful watermelon to prepare a fresh salad, sweet and thirst-quenching. When it's hot, you want to consume a lot of water-rich foods, so the watermelon is perfect.
Grilling the watermelon brings out the sweet taste that blends well with balsamic vinegar and basil adds a touch of pepper that delicately enhances the salad.
INGREDIENTS
1 L (4 cups) watermelon cubes
30 ml (2 tablespoons) of balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup (60 mL) extra virgin olive oil
10 fresh basil leaves chopped
PREPARATION
In a very hot frying pan, fry the watermelon about 8 minutes.
Mix olive oil and balsamic vinegar in a bowl.
Mix all the ingredients in a large serving bowl and enjoy!
