Artichoke dip
I am a bibitte crudité. I love raw vegetables and I think I'll always eat them like that if it were not for my boyfriend who likes to cook them once in a while.
And what better to accompany the crudités than a good dip? Of course I try to avoid mayonnaise dips or commercial dips that are often stuffed with sugar, salt and other additives.
As a snack, dips and vegetables are good choices and if you choose a dip that contains protein is even better.
That's how I got the idea of making an artichoke dip with tofu. And before you deny me because I use tofu you have to taste,
INGREDIENTS
398 ml (1 can) artichoke heart
170 g (1/2 pack) soft silky detofu
1 cup (250 mL) young spinach sprouts
5 ml (1 teaspoon) dried basil
1 crushed garlic clove
Juice of a lemon
Salt and pepper
PREPARATION
Place all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.
Accompany with your favorite vegetables.
